Car Craft Magazine (Jan 1984), feat. "Dayton, OH - Where Cruisin' USA Began"

Car Craft took on the job of documenting the very best cruises for their readers to experience what various regions had to offer. The author recounts the first town they covered; Dayton in 1979, covered by Jon Asher who connected with Pat Crafton, the Captain of the Dayton Rat Pack. That method of journalism and coverage became the formula and standard Car Craft would use from there on to spotlight all locations they visited. Again, Dayton setting the bar high. It was such a successful piece and article, rumors drove people to arrive in speculated destinations in great numbers.

Donning the cover is a Dayton legendary car; a blown C3 Corvette with a paint job rumored to have used 70 layers of fine paints, pearls, and metallics in its custom paint job.
